What attention should be paid when the mining machines are removed from the rack?

The mining pool will reversely calculate the number of effective share according to the weight of each task to calculate a value of hashrate for the reference of miners, allowing them to identify whether the mining machines are operating normally.

Removing mining machines from the rack are divided into two cases. One is that the mining machines need repairing due to faults; the other is that the mining machines need removing from the rack in batches for relocation.

·Removing the faulty mining machines from the rack

Before removing from the rack, reconfirm whether the faulty mining machines can be recovered on site. Generally, it can be solved on site, such as high temperature protection, fan fault, network fault and system fault. Minimize the removal of normal mining machines due to misjudged fault. Confirm whether the IP corresponding to the object to avoid mistake.

If the rack of the mining machines is isolated from heat and cold, the empty position from removing the mining machines should be plugged to avoid warm air backflow. The mining machines removed from the rack should be treated with dust proof and moisture proof measures, placed smoothly and neatly to the designated area, waiting for on-site maintenance or return to the factory for after-sales servicing.

Do not power off the mining machines in high humidity environment, because the mining machines emit a lot of heat, they will be damped after shutdown due to temperature reduction and condensation, and the circuit will be eroded after extended exposure.

·Removing the mining machines from the rack for relocation

The mining machines are designed according to the characteristics of long operation. If it is not necessary, it does not need to be cut off power. There is no power switch or shutdown button, and the power off mode is to cut off the power supply. When removing the mining machines from the rack, the power should be cut off at intervals. Do not pull the main brake directly. The power should be cut off for the mining machines one by one, and 5-10 mining machines shall be powered off at a time. Mining machines are of high power, so power outage for a large number of mining machines will cause voltage surge instantaneous impact and damage mining machines.

Before removing the mining machines, you need to restore the factory default settings or DHCP in batches. Otherwise, the network configurations of the two mining farms do not match and the mining machines may not be found. In this case, you can press the RESET button in front of the mining machine to restore factory default settings. If there are many machines, it may consume a lot of manpower and time.
